Alcaraz sensationally lost to the 135th racket of the world at the Masters

World No. 2 Spaniard Carlos Alcaras in two sets sensationally lost to Hungarian Fabian Marozhan, world No. 135, in the third round of the Masters held in Rome (Italy). The game ended with the score 2:0 (6:3, 7:6).

In the first set, the Hungarian tennis player won, making a break on the Spaniard’s serve. In the second set, Marozhan and Alcaraz exchanged their breaks. The outcome of the game was decided in a tie-break, which ended with a score of 7:4 in favor of Marozhan.

The Hungarian tennis player got into the main draw of the Masters through qualification. In 2023, Marozhan became the winner of the challenger in Antalya (Türkiye). In the fourth round, he will play Croatian Borna Coric, who won the match with Roberto Carballes-Baena.
