German tennis player, world number 105 Tamara Korpacz won the first WTA title in her career. The athlete won the final of the WTA-250 tournament in Cluj-Napoca (Romania), in which she defeated Romanian Elena Gabriela Ruse, the 188th racket in the world, in two sets. The meeting ended with the score 6:3, 6:4.
The tennis players spent 1 hour and 52 minutes on the court. During the match, Tamara Korpach converted six out of ten break points and made four double faults. Elena-Gabriela Ruse has one completed ace, four converted break points out of eight and three double faults.
Thanks to the victory in Romania, 28-year-old Tamara Korpacz will rise 35 positions in the WTA rankings and become the 70th racket of the world, that is, she will update the previous best result: in November 2022, the athlete was the 74th racket of the world.
