Taylor Fritz [5]

Taylor Fritz is a professional tennis player from the United States. He was born on October 28, 1997, in Rancho Santa Fe, California. Fritz comes from a tennis family – his mother Kathy May Fritz is a former top 10 player and his father Guy Fritz played college tennis.

Fritz started playing tennis at a young age and turned professional in 2015 at the age of 17. He quickly rose up the rankings and broke into the top 100 in the ATP rankings in 2016. He won his first ATP Challenger title in 2016 and made his Grand Slam debut at the 2016 US Open, where he reached the second round.

Fritz’s breakthrough year came in 2019 when he won his first ATP singles title at the Eastbourne International, defeating Sam Querrey in the final. He also reached the final at the Los Cabos Open, the quarterfinals of the Indian Wells Masters, and the fourth round of the US Open. He finished the year with a career-high ranking of world No. 25.

Fritz’s game is built around his powerful serve and aggressive baseline play. He has a strong forehand and backhand and is not afraid to come to the net. He has been compared to former world No. 1 Andy Roddick due to his similar style of play.

Off the court, Fritz is known for his friendly personality and his love of video games. He is also a big supporter of the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team and often attends their games.

Fritz is considered one of the top young American players on the ATP Tour, and he is expected to continue making strides in his career in the years to come.
