The 301st racket of the world, 22-year-old American tennis player Jenson Brooksby, was disqualified for 18 months due to missing three doping tests. This was reported by the press service of the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA).
The player reportedly has 21 days to appeal the ITIA decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Let us remind you that in July a decision was made to temporarily suspend the athlete.
Brooksby last took to the court at the Australian Open in January of this year. In the third round of the season’s first Grand Slam tournament, he lost to compatriot Tommy Paul (1:6, 4:6, 3:6). Since then, Brooksby has not competed due to a wrist injury; he has had two surgeries and is recovering.
