Danielle Collins is a professional tennis player from the United States. She was born on December 13, 1993, in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Collins began playing tennis at a young age and continued to play throughout her high school and college years. She attended the University of Virginia where she was a standout player, winning the NCAA singles championship in 2014 and 2016.
In 2017, Collins turned professional and began competing on the WTA tour. She quickly made a name for herself, reaching the fourth round of the French Open in her Grand Slam debut. She also had a breakthrough performance at the Miami Open in 2018, where she reached the semifinals as a qualifier, defeating several top players along the way.
Collins continued to make steady progress on the tour, reaching her first WTA singles final in 2019 at the Brisbane International, where she defeated former world No. 1s Garbiñe Muguruza and Elina Svitolina before losing to Karolína Plíšková.
