The Spanish tennis player, the second racket of the world Carlos Alcaraz on Sunday, May 7, won the final of the Masters series tournament in Madrid (Spain) over the lucky loser of the main draw German Jan-Lennard Struff and confirmed last year’s championship.
For Alcaraz, who turned 20 on Friday, May 5, this is the fourth ATP title of the season: the athlete previously won tournaments in Buenos Aires, Indian Wells and Barcelona in 2023.
Only the legendary Spanish athlete Rafael Nadal has won more ATP titles under the age of 21 among tennis players: his achievement at this age was ten ATP titles in a season – a world tennis record. In 2005, Nadal won titles in Madrid, Beijing, Montreal, Båstad, Stuttgart, Rome, Barcelona, Monte Carlo, Acapulco and Costa do Saupe.

Alcaras won his first adult title in 2021 in Umag (Croatia). Last season, the Spaniard won five major tournaments: in Rio de Janeiro, Miami, Barcelona, Madrid and the US Open.
The Madrid title was the fourth in 2023 for Carlos Alcaraz. Previously, the tennis player took tournaments in Buenos Aires and Indian Wells, and also confirmed last year’s championship on the courts of Barcelona.
