24-time Grand Slam champion Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic failed to reach the semi-finals of the ATP-250 tournament in Brisbane (Australia). In the quarter-final match, he lost to former world No. 17 American Reilly Opelka with a score of 7:6 (8:6), 6:3.
The match lasted 1 hour and 40 minutes. During it, Djokovic served eight aces and did not convert the only break point he earned. Opelka had 16 aces and converted one break point out of five earned. Both tennis players also made one double fault.
Next, Reilly Opelka will face the 31st racket of the world from France, 21-year-old tennis player Giovanni Mpetchi Perricard. The tournament in Brisbane runs from December 29 to January 5. The current champion is Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov.
