Swiatek became the third tennis player in 100 years to win four RG titles in five years

World number one Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek became the third tennis player in the last 100 years to win four Roland Garros titles in five years. Today, June 8, the Polish woman beat Italian Yasmin Paolini with a score of 6:2, 6:1 and took her fourth title. She also won the tournament in 2020, 2022 and 2023.

For the first time in the last 100 years, the same achievement was achieved by American Helen Wills-Moody, who won the French Open in 1928, 1929, 1930 and 1932.
In the 21st century, this record was repeated by Justine Henin from Belgium, who won the tournament in 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007.
Let us remind you that in 2021, the only year when Swiatek did not take the title in the last five years, the tournament was won by the Czech athlete Barbora Krejcikova. That year, along with her personal title, she became the winner of Roland Garros in doubles.
