Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek will play with the representative of Belarus Arina Sabolenko in the final match of the tournament in Madrid.
Recall that in the semi-finals of the tournament, Sviontek defeated Russian Veronika Kudermetova with a score of 6:1, 6:1.
Sobolenko, in turn, defeated the representative of Greece Maria Sakkari with a score of 6:4, 6:1 in the semifinals.
The final match of the tournament in Madrid between Swiatek and Sobolenko will take place on May 5th. The total prize pool for women’s singles is €7.7 million.
In total, Sobolenko and Swiatek played seven matches between themselves, and at the moment the Polish athlete is leading with a score of 5-2. The last time Swiatek played with Sobolenko was in the final of the tournament in Stuttgart in April 2023. Then the Pole won.
