Semi-time Grand Slam champion in women’s singles, former world number one 42-year-old American Venus Williams said she was working on a return to the court.
The sportswoman communicated with the fans on her page in social networks. One of the fans asked Williams when she was going to continue the game.
“Hopefully soon, my friend. I will try my best to return. But for that, I have to be healthy,” Williams replied.
Recall that Venus suffered an ankle and knee injury during the WTA-250 tournament in Auckland (New Zealand) earlier this year. Because of this damage, the athlete had to hand over the wild card to the extended draw of the Australian Open.
