Zverev started the tournament in Dubai with a strong-willed victory over Lechka

Tennis player from Germany Alexander Zverev reached the second round of the ATP-500 category tournament, which takes place in Dubai (UAE). In the opening match, the seventh seeded Zverev defeated the Czech Jiri Legechka with a score of 4:6, 6:3, 6:4. The meeting lasted 2 hours and 5 minutes.

Zverev filed right through 12 times, made two double faults and converted three out of ten break points. Legechka completed five aces, made a mistake five times on the pitch and converted two break points.

For reaching the quarterfinals of the tournament in Dubai, Zverev will play with the winner of the match between Emil Ruusuvuori from Finland and Australian Christopher O’Connell, who started the competition with qualifications.

The current winner of the tournament is the Russian Andrey Rublev, who a year ago beat the Czech Jiri Vesely in the final with a score of 6:3, 6:4.
