Three-time Grand Slam champion, two-time Olympic champion, British tennis player Andy Murray made it to the second round of the ATP-250 tournament in Doha (Qatar), which will last until February 25.
At the start, Murray (WC) defeated the Italian Lorenzo Sonego with a score of 4:6, 6:1, 7:6 (7:4). It should be noted that before the tie-break, Andy lost three match points, and during the tie-break itself, he lost two mini-breaks.
Murray’s meeting with Sonego lasted 2 hours and 33 minutes. Andy served once, made two double faults and made two break points out of eight. Sonego has eight aces, five double faults and one break point out of four earned.
In the second round, Murray will face the 2021 Olympic champion, German Alexander Zverev (4).
