The champion of the US Open – 2021, the eighth racket of the world, the Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev found out with whom he will play at the start of the tournament of the ATP-250 category in Doha (Qatar), which will last until February 25.
Medvedev, seeded third, will face Great Britain’s Liam Broedy (Q) in the second round match.
In the first round, Broedy beat Ukrainian representative Alexey Krutyh (Q) with a score of 6:0, 4:6, 7:6 (7:2). The meeting lasted 2 hours 30 minutes. Broedy served four times, made one double fault and converted 6 break points out of 17. Krutyh had five aces, five double faults and four broken points out of eight.
We note that last week Medvedev won the title at the ATP-500 category tournament in Rotterdam (Netherlands).
