Serbian tennis player, the first racket of the world in singles Novak Djokovic will be able to play at the US Open – 2023. This follows from the White House statement made on Monday, May 1: the US government allowed foreigners who have not been vaccinated against COVID‑19 to enter the country.
The White House said in a statement that all mandatory vaccination requirements for foreigners arriving in the country will be lifted at the end of the day on May 11, 2023. The vaccination decree was adopted in the United States back in 2021, which is why Novak Djokovic was forced to miss all tournaments held in the United States last season: the athlete was not vaccinated. This year, the Serbian tennis player missed tournaments in Indian Wells and Miami.
US Open – 2023 will be held from August 28 to September 10, 2023. The 35-year-old Serbian athlete is a three-time winner of the US Open.
