Swiatek commented on the victory over Alexandrova at the tournament in Madrid
Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek commented on the victory over Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova with a score of 6:4, 6:7 (3:7), 6:3 in the 1/8 finals of the tournament in Madrid.
“It was not an easy match. In the second set I had an advantage and I lost it, so of course it was not easy, but I’m very happy that I was able to come back in the third set. In general, I am satisfied with the performance, ”the WTA official website quotes Swiatek.
For reaching the semi-finals of the tournament, Sviontek will compete with the representative of Croatia, Petra Martic.
The tournament in Madrid runs from April 25 to May 6. The total prize fund for the women’s singles is €7.7 million. The current winner of the tournament is the representative of Tunisia, Ons Jaber, who defeated American Jessica Pegula in the final match last year.
