24-time Grand Slam champion Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic has advanced to the quarterfinals of the ATP-250 tournament in Brisbane (Australia). In the second round, he beat the world’s 55th racket, Frenchman Gael Monfils, with a score of 6:3, 6:3.
The match lasted 1 hour and 12 minutes. During it, Djokovic served five times, made one double fault, and converted two break points out of two earned ones. Monfils had four aces, the same number of double faults, and no converted break points.
Novak Djokovic will next face former world number 17 from the United States, Rielly Opelka. The tournament in Brisbane runs from December 29 to January 5. The current champion is Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov.
